Biography
The American poet Sarah Margaret Fuller (1810-1850) is associated with Ralph Waldo Emerson and the Transcendental movement. Considered an early feminist thinker for her advocacy of women’s right to education and employment, Fuller worked as a journalist, editor, and critic. She died in a shipwreck at the age of 40.
